Maintenance Tips For Your Dehumidifier

With the continuous improvement of people’s living standards, people’s health requirements are getting higher and higher, and dehumidifiers have entered more families. The dehumidifier is a seasonally used product. The daily maintenance is more important. If it is properly maintained, it can exert the function of the dehumidifier to a greater extent, and it can reduce the failure rate and prolong its service life.

Here are some ways for properly usage and maintenance your dehumidifier.

1  The humidity setting should be resonable

The humidity setting does not have a fixed parameter. Need to set according to customer requirements, area, season and space humidity. Usually, if the relative humidity of the room is about 60% RH, the human body will feel more comfortable. If the humidity setting is too low, the difference in humidity between indoor and outdoor is large, it is easy to cause the compressor to start and stop frequently, thus shortens the service life of the dehumidifier.

2  After the dehumidifier has been moved, it needs to be placed

After the dehumidifier has been moved, it needs to be statically placed for four to six hours before being turned on. Since the compressor line in the dehumidifier contains refrigerant, after the moving, the refrigerant must go through four to six hours before returning to the original position.

3  Regular cleaning is necessary

•  The maintenance of air filter

Clean the filter gas network (about once every two weeks) to maintain the longevity of the machine. It can effectively improve the dust removal effect of the dehumidifier and improve the ambient air quality. Regularly cleaning the heat sink of the outdoor unit can effectively improve the working efficiency of the dehumidifier. Wash the filter mesh with water below 40℃, and put it back into the body after it is dry. When cleaning the body, wipe it gently with a damp cloth to avoid damaging the electrical insulation. There are adhesives on the surface of the body, which can be washed with soapy water to avoid peeling or discoloration. When the power is off or not used for a long time, please unplug the power cord to maintain the life of the machine.

•  The maintenance of condenser

The condenser should be cleaned from time to time and kept clean. The optimum operating temperature range for dehumidifiers is 5℃ to 38℃. If the humidity in the air is less than 30%, it is too dry and uncomfortable, so the reliable humidity controller is controlled to maintain the range of 50% to 60%. When using, the doors and windows are closed as much as possible to achieve dehumidification in the room. The body should be placed flat and should not be tilted or sloping. If the water storage capacity in the dehumidifier is too high, in order to avoid spilling the dirty ground, you must unplug the power cord before draining the water in the operation, and then drain the water in the water storage tank.

4  Call in a professional to check the dehumidifier regularly

After long-term use of the dehumidifier, the circuit and control components in the unit will have different degrees of aging, which will seriously damage the equipment. Call in a professional to check the circuit of the dehumidifier and replace the aging components regularly. Replenishing the refrigerant keeps the dehumidifier in good working order.

5  Protection measures in regular days

When the dehumidifier is not used for a long time in winter or outside, apply a protective cover to cover the dehumidifier to avoid sun, rain, dust deposition, which may cause difficulties in cleaning and maintenance in the future.
